Acted as the key point person for all 13 courses in the Global Leadership track. Provided oversight as a financial advisor and strategy analyst on Fortune 500 contracts. Sample of projects include: Assisted Amoco Oil Company executives to analyze the financial viability of vendors bidding on the next generation of PC-based point of sale systems. Provided oversight as a project team leader in developing a five-year international strategy plan for Global Information Systems (GIS) the former NCR/AT&T. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) Investor Services Officer 1991 - 1993 Implemented the consulting practice of newly formed Investor Services Department. Acted as in-house financial consultant to develop business plans enabling overseas projects to qualify for OPIC loans and political risk insurance. Charged with expanding OPIC's customer base by engineering global investment opportunities for American businesses. Advised U.S. corporations on potential joint ventures in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the NIS. Led investment missions of U.S. business executives to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Egypt, Tunisia, and Israel to foster strategic investment opportunities. Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) Senior Investment Officer 1988 - 1991 Managed all phases of structuring loans for U.S. government agency, which promotes private sector investment in developing countries. Conducted on-site visits and interfaced with U.S. Embassy and host government officials to determine financial viability of projects. Presented projects to OPIC Board of Directors for loan approval. Negotiated terms and conditions of finance agreements with corporate executives. Sample of projects financed include: a $50 million investment guarantee ("IG") to Kaiser Aluminum Corporation and Norsk Hydro to mine and refine bauxite in Jamaica; development of a $100 million Environmental Growth Fund; a $30 million IG to Bell South and Motorola to establish a cellular telephone system in Argentina; a $9 million IG to the Pioneer Group (a major mutual fund company) to develop a gold mine in Ghana; and a $6 million loan to develop a free trade zone in the Dominican Republic.
