The dominant influences on F. Scott Fitzgerald were aspiration, literature, Princeton, Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, and alcohol. Lived comfortably on Mollie Fitzgerald’s inheritance. Fitzgerald attended the St. Paul Academy; his first writing to appear in print was a detective story in the school newspaper when he was thirteen. On academic probation and unlikely to graduate, Fitzgerald joined the army in 1917 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the infantry. 2. During this time, the sale, manufacture, and transportation (bootlegging) of alcoholic beverages was illegal throughout the United States. I think that Speakeasies popped up across the country because of the high demand for alcohol. 7. Access denied on both points 8. From what I have learned about the people in this book, I can infer that the characters that I will encounter will be strong and courageous women in this book. I think that the plot of this book will be about women who fight for their rights.
