The Role Overview of the group/team The Policy and Engagement Group is responsible for setting the policy framework and authorising environment for Comcare decision makers, communications and knowledge, media, review services, providing secretariat services, supporting the Seacare scheme and education. The Communications and Knowledge team is the central point for all communications and information issues and activities. It leads and supports the organisation in the delivery of consistent, coordinated, integrated and planned marketing and communications activities, as well as relevant, timely and comprehensive library and knowledge services. Overview of the role As Assistant Director, Knowledge Management and Library Services, you will be responsible for the implementation of Comcare’s knowledge and information management strategy. You will examine how Comcare staff harness, acquire, share and use knowledge and information, both internally and externally, and implement strategies and programs to meet strategic objectives. As part of the knowledge and information management strategy you will manage Comcare’s newly established library services and explore options for future development of those services. Qualifications/Experience Desirable: Relevant tertiary/industry qualifications will be highly regarded. The following experience is desirable but not essential: exposure to knowledge and information management environment, concepts and initiatives, including library services. Duty statement 1.
