TOPIC: All-State Information and Responsibilities
Congratulations, you have been selected All-State in Volleyball by the Colorado Coaches of Girls’ Sports
(CCGS). Along with this honor, you have been invited to play in the CCGS All-State Games and attend a
banquet in your honor.
The CCGS Games Committee is working hard to make the 2013-14 CCGS All-State Games exciting and
memorable. The All-State Games are played the week after the completion of the State Tournament.
There will be no conflicts for you as players, and you will be in great shape to play volleyball. We will see
the best senior talent in the State.
During the past 35 years, the CCGS All-State Games have grown into a prestigious event honoring
outstanding senior female athletes, such as you, participating in basketball, volleyball and softball.
The All-State Volleyball Games will be played Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Arvada West High
School. There will be five games – 1A @ 9:00am, 2A @ 10:30am, 3A @ 12:00pm, 4A @ 1:30pm and
5A @ 3:00pm.
Registration and practice on November 16 will be held at Arvada West High School. All Teams registers
at 9:30am. Team pictures will be taken following registration. Please bring your uniforms to
registration. You will have practice and be involved in other activities with your All-State coaches to
prepare you for your game. Lunch will be provided on Saturday.
Saturday evening there will be a semi-formal (no jeans, please) banquet honoring volleyball athletes and
their parents. Advance reservations are required. Doors open at 5:30pm. Banquet begins at 6:00pm.
Open seating with no reserve seating, so get there early!!! DoubleTree Hotel, Westminster, CO 8773 Yates Drive
is providing special room rates. Go to http://colocgs.org/volleyball to make reservations or call
(303) 427-4000 and ask for the CCGS room rates.
There is a $75.00 participation fee. This fee is due when you arrive November 16th

You must submit your pre-registration information to attend the Banquet and participate in
the Volleyball games by Tuesday, November 12, 2012 7:00pm.

As a participant in the CCGS All-State Games, you are to abide by general school and community principles of good
sportsmanship and proper conduct. Failure to demonstrate good citizenship will result in immediate dismissal from the Games
and Activities. There will be no refund, and the participant will be sent home immediately at her own expense.

Congratulations on having your outstanding senior female athlete selected to participate in the 2013 Colorado
Coaches of Girls’ Sports All-State Volleyball Games (the “All-State Games”).
Please notify your local newspaper of this All-State honor. Only 90 seniors throughout the State are so
honored. It truly indicates that your athlete is a quality person recognized by other coaches in your division.
Included is a suggested press release, include a picture.
Awards Banquet Information
Your player will be honored at a semi-formal banquet on Saturday, November 16, at 6:00 pm at the DoubleTree
Hotel – Westminster, CO 8773 Yates Drive – 303-427-4000. Doors open at 5:30pm. We encourage you to
attend this banquet in honor of your athlete.
Tickets for the banquet are $30.00. Advance reservations are required. Please make your reservation by
Tuesday, November 12, by notifying Lisa Schumacher at (970) 522-2944 ext 235, (970) 520-9336, e-mail
Schumacherl@re1valleyschools.org, OR you may have your athlete include you in her reservations due November
16. Please have your athlete pay for your ticket(s) when she checks in on Saturday, November 16.
Game Information
Sunday, November 17, you will be introduced with your athlete during the opening ceremonies of her game. If
you are unable to attend the All-State Games, please make arrangements for an assistant coach/representative to
take your place. Many coaches/parents are presenting the athlete with a small gift or flowers as she is
introduced.
As her high school coach, your admission to the All-State Games is free. Additional game day tickets are:
$4.00 adult, $2.00 CCGS members, students and senior citizens (55+). Non-school age children are free.
CCGS is a non-profit organization, money from ticket sales allow us to continue to sponsor the All-State
Games. A concession stand will be available. CASH ONLY at the doors on Sunday at the games.
The All-State Games are held at Arvada West High School, 11595 Allendale Dr. Arvada, CO 80004, at the
following times:
1A 9:00 a.m.
2A 10:30 a.m.
3A 12:00 p.m.
