NMEA All-State Band, Chorus, Jazz Band, or Orchestra
It is a great honor to have your child selected as a member of the 2015 NMEA All-State Ensemble. Congratulations!



PLEASE READ this letter in its entirety to ensure that all forms are completed correctly to allow your child to
participate in the All-State Ensemble.
NO INFORMATION IS SENT THROUGH THE US MAIL.
ALL INFORMATION CAN BE OBTAINED THROUGH THE NMEA WEBSITE

Students (and/or parents) should receive the student's personalized NMEA ID# from the child's director. (Do
not call NMEA for this info. It can only be obtained through your child's teacher.) Remember that ID number.
You'll need it to complete the student contract and the Lied ticket order form. Your child's director can obtain
the ID# from the NMEA Members Only portion of the website. The ID# is kept private so that parents may
have first opportunity to secure Parent Lied Center All-State Final Concert tickets. More info concerning
concert tickets is listed below.
1) ACTION REQUIRED
LISTING OF YOUR CHILD'S INFORMATION IN THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM
Be sure your child's information is correct:
The website listing on the NMEA website homepage shows the name of all students in every ensemble and lists:
1) your child's full name as it will appear in the Conference Programs
2) your child's first name (or informal name) as it will appear on the name badge
3) your child's current year in school (10, 11, or 12)
If ANY of this information is incorrect please contact John Furrow, Auditions Chair immediately. Corrections should be
emailed to jfurrow@fallscityps.org All corrections must be received by November 1! Changes cannot be made after
November 1 due to publication deadlines.

2) ACTION REQUIRED
STUDENT CONTRACT: Every All-State student MUST complete and return the contract. Completed student contracts
.must be mailed by the director(s) in one mailing to John Furrow, NMEA Auditions - postmarked no later than
November 1. NMEA contracts vendors to photograph the ensembles and video tape the entire All-State Final
Concerts. In order for your child to participate in this All-State Ensemble, the Image Release must be signed.
Print ONE contract for EACH student in an All-State Ensemble;
the student/parent completes both sides of the contract;
and returns the Contract to the student's director
Directors should return all CONTRACTS in one mailing no later than NOVEMBER 1 to

Any student without a completed contract will NOT be allowed to participate in the All-State ensemble!

3) ACTION REQUIRED to attend the All-State concert
PARENT ALL-STATE CONCERT TICKETS ORDER FORM - Very Important: Please be very careful completing
the order form for tickets to the All-State Final Concert. PARENTS should print, complete and return this form directly to
the Lied Center for your tickets to the NMEA All-State Final Concert. As a parent of a child in an NMEA Ensemble you
are allowed to purchase up to 4 tickets for early ticket sale for the Jazz Band/Chorus concert or unlimited number for the
Band/Orchestra concert. Parents SHOULD NOT wait until tickets go on sale to the general public to order tickets. Seating
is limited at the Lied Center and we don’t want anyone to be disappointed. If you delay, the concert hall may already be
sold out and tickets unavailable.
Here's how it works: The Lied Center Box Office has a list of all students selected into each NMEA Ensemble and will
check names and student ID# on their list with the names and ID#s on the order form. Only one order form will be
permitted for each student/parents for these pre-ordered Parent Tickets. Multiple ticket order forms for the same
student will NOT be allowed. Be sure to list your child's full name on the ticket order form and get the ID# from your
child's teacher. If the name and ID# are not included, the order will not be filled.
Pre-ordered parent ticket order forms must be postmarked NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 7.

5) ACTION STRONGLY SUGGESTED
ADVOCACY LETTER from NMEA President Sam Zitek asks students to share their acceptance into All-State with
their state senator and invite the senator to the Final Concert.
Please print one form for EACH child selected into All-State and give to your child.

6) ACTION OPTIONAL
PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE ALL-STATE ENSEMBLES ORDER FORM. Anderson Studio of Lincoln will take
photos of all the ensembles. These photos are available for purchase. Use this form to order high-quality color photos of
any of the All-State ensembles. This form should be returned to Anderson Studio (contact information on the form).
Anderson Studio will have a display only at the Lied Center lobby during the Final Concert. These items may be
preordered as well.

CDS/DVDS OF ALL-STATE FINAL CONCERT ORDER FORM. Mid-American Video Images will record the
entire All-State performance. Videos are available for purchase. This order form should be returned to Mid-America
Video Images (contact information on the form). Mid-America Video Images will have a display in the Exhibits during
All-State in Embassy Suites Thursday p.m., all-day Friday, Saturday a.m. and also at the Lied Center lobby during the
Final Concerts to complete an order form. These items may be preordered prior to All-State as well.
