Student information packet that includes the Student Code of Conduct Form which must be signed by the student and his/her parent(s), and in your possession during the conference. Online for download - please make a copy for each of your students who will participate in All-State. Each student must be accompanied by a director or principal-approved responsible adult. 2. All-State Registration Forms available online – Please have the registration form filled out and bring with you to the clinic with the proper amount of money! 3. As soon as possible, check the printout very carefully for each of your students and report any problems before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8. -Remember the high and low individual card totals are deleted from the final total on Oboe, Bassoon, Low Clarinets, all Saxes, Euphonium, Tuba, and band String Bass. -On Flute, Bb Clarinet, Trumpet, French Horn, and Tenor & Bass T-Bone, the high & low Scale/SR scores and the high & low Prepared scores are deleted independently. You will have a printout for each room plus a summary sheet for split rooms indicating the sum of the scores that counted in both rooms as the final score. -On Percussion, the high and low scores for each instrument (audition room) are deleted independently – the sum of the scores that counted in all 3 rooms is the final score. -All three score cards count for Jazz and for Orchestra. 4. Please make sure that your students and parents are aware that the results are not final until Monday, February 9 at 5:00 p.m. 5. Updated Conference Schedule, Clinic and Conference Registration Forms, and Student packets are online. This CODE OF CONDUCT is issued in keeping with the goal of providing the finest musical experience possible for members of the All-State organizations. No student will be allowed to participate in an All-State organization without completing this form and returning it to his/her director before the conference. Students are responsible for all their own personal possessions - jewelry, instruments, equipment, etc. Students must remain reasonably quiet at all times in the hotel. Televisions, tape or CD players must remain at low levels. No student will leave the hotel without proper adult supervision. No items may be charged to the room (room service, phone calls, etc.). Room check will begin at 10:45 p.m. - the All-State curfew is at 11:00 p.m. Students must be in their own rooms at this time and must not leave their rooms after this time except in cases of emergency. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages, or controlled substances (drugs or illegal materials) will not be tolerated. Prompt attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Tardiness will not be tolerated. Students are expected to be on their best behavior at all times. Inappropriate behavior in and outside of rehearsals will not be tolerated. Cell phones and other non-medical electronic devices must be turned off during rehearsals. Students are under all ArkCDA, ASBOA, AAA, Music Conference and individual school policies. It is understood by students, parents, directors, chaperones and administrators that any infraction of the above rules of conduct constitutes grounds for dismissal from the All-State Conference/Clinic. Any student dismissed from the event must be accompanied home by a parent, guardian or other authorized adult.
