Tuesday, May 17th B Blocks
Choose one of the following essay topics.
1. Compare/contrast Edward and Carter’s character. How do you see parts
of their character in their reactions to the fact that they will soon die?
Describe the reactions and how each man handles the news. How does
each man change throughout the course of the movie?
2. Why do you think, at times, Edward and Carter have so much hostility
towards each other? Do they resolve their differences? Despite their
differences, how does their relationship end up being beneficial to both of
them?
Essays that meet the following requirements will be graded.
1. Typed and printed in 12-point, Arial font.
2. Double-spaced.
3. Submitted on time, with the rubric stapled to the top.
Essays should follow the 5-paragraph format. This means you should have an
introductory paragraph, 3 body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph.
