Career Research Paper
Assignment: Write a 5-paragraph essay on the career of your choice. A paragraph consists of at
least five sentences. All or most of the required information you need is be available on
Whatsnextillinois.org. See me if you have never used this site before.
Production Requirements: double-spaced with 1 inch margins and 12 point Times New Roman
font.
Due Date: Paper is due Oct. 28 at the beginning of class.
Include the following in your paper:
1. Describe your career goal
2. Describe the duties and responsibilities of your target job. Be specific and give examples.
3. Describe the educational requirements, training or other qualifications needed to pursue
your chosen career.
4. Find the salary you can expect to earn in this career.
5. Describe the personal qualities you have that make this a good career choice for you.
6. Proofread, revise and edit your paper. Use correct English grammar and punctuation. Do
not use contractions or text messaging shortcuts, such as “u” for “you.” Make sure you
separate sections of the paper into paragraphs.
