The Bucket List As we are leaving this magic time between Christmas and New Year one could ask me why I’m going to tell you about a film dealing with death. Despite its inevitable end, this movie carries the magic of dreams becoming true, the intensity of Life and makes people feel happy even if they cry. This comedy-drama film, directed by Rob Reiner and written by Justin Zackham, was opened in wide release on the beginning of year 2008. The plot : two men, Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) a mechanic, and Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) a billionaire Hospital director who are both diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. They happen to be in the same hospital room so a friendship between them begins. One day, Carter decided to write a list of things he would like to do before he “kicks the bucket”, but hearing that he had less than a year left, he wrinkled the paper and threw it away. Edward discovered the list and convinced his friend to fulfill every dream he had written, also adding other ideas and promising to pay all costs. And so begins their wonderful vacation, escaping responsibility and death. Certainly one of the most intense human story that makes you laugh and cry. Numbers of words : 200
