Temporary Wild Animal Keeper
The Akron Zoo is seeking individuals with good interpersonal skills, a mature
attitude, and knowledge of biology for physical work. A four year degree is
strongly preferred; a minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent is required.
This is a temporary position working 40 hours per week for a period of six
months. Responsible for primary care of animal collection and all related duties
under the direction of a supervisor. Must be available weekends, holidays, and
for a flexible schedule that may adjust on a weekly basis to support the needs of
the zoo. This is an entry-level, temporary position with no benefits. The Akron
Zoo is a Drug-Free Workplace and an EOE; must be over 18 to apply.
