‫תיאור הסמינר‪ :‬במהלך האלף השלישי והשני לפנה"ס התפתחו ברחבי העולם הישן חברות בעלות מורכבות‬
‫חברתית רבה‪ .‬בסמינר נשווה בין חברות אלו וננסה להבין את קווי הדמיון והשוני ביניהן‪ .‬השואה בין חברות‬
‫אלו תאפשר לנו לבחון מודלים הנוגעים להתפתחות החברתית‪ ,‬כלכלית ופוליטית‪ .‬כמו כן נבדוק מאפיינים כגון‬
‫דת‪ ,‬אומנות‪ ,‬טכנולוגיה והתפתחות הקשרים בין האזורים‪.‬‬
‫מבנה הסמינר‪ :‬הסמינר בנוי סביב סוגיות מרכזיות והשוואה בין תרבויות מקבילות ברחבי העולם הישן‪ .‬לכל‬
‫פרק מוצמד חומר קריאה רלבנטי והשיעורים יבנו כדיון מסביב לחומר הקריאה‪ .‬ללא קריאה מוקדמת ומחשבה‬
‫על חומר הקריאה לא נוכל לקיים את המפגשים כסדרם לכן הרשמה לסמינר כמוה כהתחייבות מצדכם לבוא‬
‫לכל הפגישות ולהכין מראש את חומר הקריאה‪.‬‬
