Harvest Gold Commences Airborne Geophysical Survey,
Rice Lake Gold Belt, Manitoba
Harvest Gold Corporation (HVG-TSX.V) May 3, 2006 (the “Company”) is pleased to
announce that an airborne geophysical survey is now underway at its Rice Lake Gold
Belt properties near the mining community of Bissett, Manitoba.
The Company has engaged Fire Fly Aviation Ltd of Calgary to perform a High
Resolution Aeromagnetic (HRAM) survey over the Mabel Lake claims and to fly a
second block over the southern portion of the Johnston property claims. The survey will
comprise of approximately 1500 line kilometers of data collection on tight 50m spaced
flight lines. The survey is now underway and map interpretation and reports are expected
in 2-3 weeks.
Vice-President Exploration, Dr. George Gale says “The survey results will help Company
geologists identify key geological features related to the formation of gold deposits in the
area including structural features such as faults and folds. As much of the area is covered
by sediment, the survey will help us detect rock units not visible at surface, by their
magnetic characteristics. Also areas which have undergone intense alteration as a result
of hydrothermal fluids passing through the rock may be recognized by their absence of
magnetic minerals. Areas of alterations are intimately associated with gold deposits in the
belt and constitute priority targets for follow up field work.”
Recently, Grandview Gold also flew a High Resolution Aeromagnetic survey of their
Rice Lake Gold Belt claims which surround Harvest Gold’s Wyatt claim block. The
Company will be assessing the results of this survey when they are received in
preparation for its summer 2006 work on the Wyatt claims.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,

President,
