GENERAL EDUCATION OBJECTIVE NINE PROPOSAL
University and Personal Resources
Course Number and Name: HTM 100 Intro to Hospitality and Tourism Industry 2 credits
HTM 101 Hospitality and tourism Students Seminar 1 credit
These two courses are taught back to back in a 15 week semester for a total of 3 credits.
All courses with a General Education designation will include, to the extent possible, critical thinking, written composition, oral discussion, and graphic components.
To obtain the General Education Objective Nine designation, the proposed course must meet all of the criteria listed below.
Criteria: Courses designated General Education Objective Nine will:
Enable students to gain knowledge of General Education Objective setting, critical thinking and campus resources.
Enable students to explore values and demonstrate knowledge of the relationship between academic planning and life General Education Objectives.
Enable students to gain knowledge of discipline specific career information.
To obtain the General Education Objective Nine University and Personal Resources designation, the proposed course must meet all of the outcomes listed.

Students will be able to demonstrate critical thinking in identifying campus resources that will assist them in academic planning and support academic
