Les Misérables: The Story In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways, relentlessly pursues him. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter. This year she returns to the musical stage as “Lovely Lady #1”, a Make-Up and Hair Crew member, and, utilizing her longtime passion in dance, a student choreographer. She thanks you for coming to the performance! Alyssa Coe (Sound) is in her second year in Mullen Theatre. Theatre has made her appreciate the arts and the importance of community. Some of Alyssa's favorite things are puppies, rainbows, and glitter. When not at theatre, she binge watches Gossip Girl. She hopes everyone enjoys the show! Kaitlin Donovan (Properties Head, MHS Theatre President) Kaitlin has been a witness to the magic of Mullen Theatre for the past 10 years, with her older sisters coming before her. Since the start of her career with the play You Can't Take It With You to the final musical Les Misérables, she has experienced what it truly means to be a part of a family. Landis Hagerty (Construction) has had a great year working, in Mullen Theatre and is excited to see the finished product of Les Misérables. Isabel Brown (Old Woman, Factory Girl, Student Choreographer) starting dancing at age two and has since taken to theatre, including her role as “Amber” in Mullen’s 2014 Hairspray! production. She was named an AllAmerican Dancer on the Poms team and is active in many other clubs including serving as Student Body Vice-President. Chad DeLine (Jean Valjean) started singing when he was very young and he has been carrying it with him ever since. He is also a huge skier and loves outdoor activities. This is his first high school play. He is very excited to be in Les Misérables and is delighted to be your “Jean Valjean”! Mary Kate Gleason (Female Ensemble) joined theatre in Hairspray! starring as a smoking prostitute; her family had never been so proud. She was blessed to be in Les Misérables, which is a huge accomplishment since she can’t hear, therefore cannot sing. Mary Kate likes to run (Netflix) marathons and take bubble baths. She thanks all of her family for their support. Kristen Hietala (Makeup Head) has been on makeup crew and taken on many roles during her four Mullen years, from a horse to a housekeeper, but her favorite was the oblivious “Intern Dana” in the stage adaptation of Welcome to Nightvale. This production, she has mainly focused on makeup and set construction. She will dearly miss the Mullen stage! Adriana Hilario (Costumes Co-Head) has been part of Mullen theatre for three years, and has participated in construction and run crew and costumes. When she is not backstage, you can find her working at Panera. It is a bittersweet year for Adriana, as her theatre career is coming to an end. Thank you for coming and enjoy the show. Izze Johnson (Sound Co-Head) has been involved in Mullen theatre since her junior year. She played “Tracy” in Mullen's production of Hairspray!, directed the one act Memory, and has done sound for the two most recent fall plays, School for Scandal and As You Like It. In her free time she embodies the spirit of Stevie Nicks and reads lengthy novels to her dog Keegan. Erin LoCoco (Madame Thenardier, Costumes) is basically a queen. She is positively ravishing in her “Thenardier” costume. She will be attending The University of Colorado at Boulder next year to study engineering and will be in the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. It’s her life’s goal to build a missile and paint it pink. Y’all better watch out. Jonothon Pollard-Durodola (Construction) has been involved in many tech crews since he transferred in his sophomore year. Although he will miss Mullen Theatre and the many friends he has made, he is excited to attend DePaul University in the fall. Micaela Jones (Female Ensemble, Dramaturg) joined theatre on a whim her freshman year, but only for a short time, and she had to skip sophomore year. She came back strong as “Rowley” in School for Scandal and directed the hit one act Welcome to Night Vale. She is excited to be a part of Les Mis, and hopes to direct in her future! Joey Little (Construction & Sound) has had a Mullen Theatre career for only one show: Les Misérables, he hopes everyone enjoys the show. Theresa Nguyen (Makeup Head) has been part of theater for three years now. As head crew chief of the hair department she is ready to turn your hair-don't into a hair-do. With hair ties on her wrist and bobby pins in her mouth she is always ready for a challenge. Aislinn O'Kane (Female Ensemble) is excited to make her debut in Mullen Theatre with one of her favorite musicals. She hopes everyone enjoys the show! Andie Panozzo (Cosette) stars in her second production with Mullen Theatre. She showed her dancing skills in last year's production of Hairspray!, and performed in a contemporary dance in this year's “One Acts Festival”. She is looking forward to continuing her newfound love for the performing arts in college. Lisi Riccio (Hair & Makeup) has been self-titled as the Mullen Theatre Queen and has been in Makeup and Hair Crew since this year’s fall play, As You Like It. Outside of her life in Mullen Theatre, she enjoys ice skating and watching Netflix, especially “Hoarders: Collection”. Kristin Sachse (Factory Girl 5, Stage Manager) slithered her way into theatre by means of a snake puppet in her first onstage performance as a freshman. Since then, she has been a widely sought after love interest, a feisty blonde Puerto Rican, an English war general, and the intuitive lovestruck cousin of Rosalind. Along with singing in each “One Act Play Festival”, she has recently acquired the job of Stage Manager. John Savage (Marius) has proudly been a member of Mullen Theatre since the “One Acts Festival” his sophomore year. He is best known for his roles as “Baby John” in West Side Story, “Link” in Hairspray!, and now as “Marius” in Les Misérables. He hopes everyone enjoys the show as much as he does! Katherine Stano (Lovely Lady) has been acting in theatre productions for all four of her years at Mullen. She loves dessert, movies, and the mountains. She has had many memorable roles, her favorite being the Porter in Macbeth. She is excited to be a part of her favorite musical Maya Rosengarten (Fantine) began her career within Mullen Theater sophomore year as “Maria” in West Side Story, she was then a “Dynamite” in Hairspray!, and now is very excited to portray the role of “Fantine”. Maya will attend The Catholic University of America next year, majoring in nursing with a minor in music. She thanks you all for coming to the show! Elena Santarella (Sound Co-Head) began theater as a sophomore in the one act play Icarus's Mother. From there, her participation has included acting in School for Scandal and Memory, working on the sound crew for West Side Story, Hairspray!, and As You Like It, and directing the one act 13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview. She has relished her opportunity to bother both cast and crew members for the last four years. Johnny Srsich (Foreman, Thenardier Gang Member) has been a member of Mullen Theatre since his freshman year, participating in each “One Acts Festival” until junior year when he started doing the musicals. He has played “Mr. Spritzer” and “Foreman” in the musicals. He hopes that everyone enjoys their time watching Les Misérables!
