WP comes with the purchase of your textbook. Your access code for WP is attached to the textbookDON'T THROW IT OUT! If you choose the all digital option that includes both ACC1101and ACC1201,
your access code will be e-mailed. Used books DON'T have access codes and you will not be able to
access WileyPlus! WP is an integrated online homework platform that accompanies the Accounting
Principles text, and it will be utilized in this course. Your HW, special assignments, and test must be
submitted on WP. You are responsible for checking the “announcements” on WileyPlus on a daily basis
for any changes or additions to your syllabus. WileyPlus presents step by step mastery of each chapter,
includes narrated tutorials, demonstration problems, accounting tutors, your homework assignments
and much more. WP has a wealth of resources that will assist you in mastering the course material.
ANY STUDENT EXCEEDING THE ALLOWED ABSENCES (3),WILL RECEIVE A WU GRADE
(Refer to your student handbook for specifics).
GRADING :
There will be 4 class exams plus a comprehensive departmental final exam.
There are absolutely without exception, no makeup examinations.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This course presents the basic or fundamental principles of accounting. The accounting cycle including
journal entries, posting, preparation of trial balance, worksheet, adjusting entries, financial statements,
closing entries, preparation of a post-closing trial balance, special journals and subsidiary ledgers are
covered extensively. It is essential that accounting majors master the fundamental accounting cycle
presented in this course. The foundation and skills you develop in this course will prepare you for success
in advanced accounting courses, and entry level accounting employment opportunities.
