Introduction There are two undergrad laboratories in Physics department to cater about 14 engineering and non engineering departments. The purpose of the laboratories is to impart the students knowledge and skill to handle different type of instruments and to focus on the principles and practical applications of the basic experiments. The laboratories have been designed keeping in view the requirements of the different engineering/non-engineering departments. Undergrad Lab 1 The experiments performed in this laboratory are listed below Experiment Title 1. 2. Determination of the Capacitance of metal spheres and a spherical capacitor Determination of the Dielectric constant of different materials Dr. Abdul Waheed Anwar (Lab Incharge) Lab Staff 3. Study of the Hall effect in metals 4. Measurement of the Band gap energy of Germanium 5. Study of the Temperature dependence of different resistors and diodes Ms. Saima Bashir (Lab. Supervisor) Mr. Muhammad Faisal (Lab. Assistant) Undergrad Lab 2 The experiments performed in this laboratory are listed below Experiment Title 1. Measurement of reduction factor of the tangent galvanometer Dr. Khurshid Aslam Bhatti 2. Determination of the e/m of electron by deflection method (Lab Incharge) Lab Staff Mr. Farhan Ahmed Khan (Lab. Supervisor) 3. Study of B-H curve using ballistic galvanometer 4. Study of variation in photoelectric current with the intensity of light 5.
