Assignment Capsule
Be a part of Service Operations – provide perfect service and guidance to members.
Humana is seeking a Customer Care Specialist for our call center to directly respond to
questions, handle issues and provide guidance to both internal and external customers.



Receive, document and resolve customer inquiries by using established best practices
Build lasting relationships with Humana’s customers
Educate customers, providers and employers about Humana’s products and services over the
telephone

Role Essentials







1 - 3 years customer service experience or experience in medical office/facility.
High School diploma.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle a constant volume of phone inquiries.
Strong typing and computer skills and experience using multiple computer applications
simultaneously.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, listening skills, and attention to
detail.
Be available to work during the hours of 7:45am - 9:00pm, Monday – Friday, year round.
Availability to work overtime as determined by business need.
Role Desirables


Call center experience
Background in health insurance


Knowledge of Microsoft office software
College degree
Reporting Relationships

The customer service representative works in our Louisville Medicare Service Operations and
reports to a Frontline leader.
Additional Information

Associates are required to stay in their role for up to 24 months before they are eligible to post for
another Humana role.
