SERVE - ENCOURAGE - EQUIP Introducing Frank & Brenda Watkins PICTURE W e have been married HERE for 40 years and are best friends. We met at the Atlanta Technical College when I (Frank) returned from Vietnam as a United States Marine. We have two children Tomeka (38) and Franco (31) and two grandchildren. We were both born in Atlanta and have lived here all our lives; we are both Georgia peaches! I (Frank) pursued a career in law enforcement as an Atlanta police officer until I was wounded in the line of duty and currently employed in corporate security as a Security Director. I (Brenda) enjoys working with mentally and physically challenged children. We have been at New Beginnings for 11 years; we serve together in the hospitality and food pantry ministries. Brother Frank serves on the security team and Sister Brenda serves in the children’s ministry. Brother Frank loves adventurous vacations, bowling, golfing, cooking, working around the yard, watching westerns and taking care his wife. He is a take-charge person and his motto is “Whatever it takes make it happen”. Sister Brenda is very helpful, patient, a good listener, caring, has never met a stranger, loves children and senior citizens and loves being around people. I love to travel, decorate, enjoy doing crossword puzzles, and various sports like bowling, soccer and volleyball and game shows. Our family vision is that our children and grandchildren will be successful in life and be followers of Christ and our favorite Bible verse is Hosea 4:6 “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. SEE Newsletter PASTOR’s NOTE I want you all to know how delighted I was at your response to our seven day First Fast. 2014 is a new year for which we have never experienced, you will never know or enjoy what God has ahead unless you move forward and see. Many of you pushed yourself beyond the norm and I truly believe as we push ourselves beyond the "Spiritual Norm" THEN AND ONLY THEN will we see a great move of God that we have never experienced before. Look around you, if you are doing what everybody else is doing then you are doing the normal, break out be different and believe God!
