Pitch Clover Scientific Name: Psoralea bituminosa Flowering Period: February to May Colour: Lilac Frequency: Very common Habitat: Countryside paths, field track, waste ground especially near arable areas (areas suitable for farming) General information: The plant is highly branched and it often has a bushy structure or a thick cushion over the walls. The stems are thin and pubescent (have white short hairs) and are either dark brown or black. The leaves and flower heads have a long stalk (the flower heads’ stalk is always longer).
