The Sydney Tar Ponds – Case study: Review all questions from this assignment, including the questions
from your textbook. Know the basics of how the tar ponds developed over time, the health hazard it
was to the local people, the reasons why it was allowed to continue to operate, and the eventual
action used to clean up the area.

Courtney Pratt / Chico Mendes – Case Study: Review the case study, and be able to answer questions
about the life of Mendes, in particular.

The Future Planet: Under New Management: You will only have to know the first two topics from this
question sheet: Section 1: Predicting & Planning the Future (pg.388-394) and Section 2: Education – An
agent for change (pg.395-396). The last 3 sections will NOT be on the test or upcoming exam.

Renewable Energy Project – There will be questions about the renewable energy source you selected
for your individual poster and write-up.

Sources of Renewable Energy: Be able to identify at least 5 sources of renewable energy (ex. solar,
