Since'2008,'student'evaluation'of'teaching'at'UBC'has'been'carried'out'online'using'the'webDbased'‘CoursEval’'system.'Towards'the'end'
of'every'term,'all'registered'students'automatically'receive'an'email'inviting'them'to'complete'an'evaluation'for'each'course'in'which'they'
are'registered'(where'a'course'has'more'than'one'instructor,'evaluations'also'ask'students'to'rate'each'instructor'separately).'
In'the'Faculty'of'Arts,'evaluation'surveys'include'six'‘university’'questions'used'across'UBC,'and'six'‘Arts’'questions'developed'by'the'
Faculty'of'Arts.'They'may'also'include'Departmental'level'questions,'if'your'Department'chose'to'include'Departmental'questions.'
Evaluation'surveys'close'to'students'before'their'final'exams'or'assessments.'After'you'have'submitted'all'of'your'final'grades'for'each'
class'that'you'teach,'you'will'be'able'to'log'in'and'view'a'report'that'summarizes'student'evaluations'of'your'teaching'and'your'course.'
