A. Reviewed CoursEval Updates
1. TLC Decisions
i. Removal of “highly” in “Used highly effective teaching
methods”
1. Melinda passed around mean charts of Fall 2008 with “highly” and Spring
2009 without “highly”
2. What is the next step? Do we need to define the already existing
questions?
ii. Required versus non-required questions
1. TLC agreed that the open ended questions should not be required.
2. Students from the Focus Groups reiterated this request.
iii. Future item to discuss: consistency with scaled questions
1. 1 to 5 scale; excellent to poor scale
2. Reviewed situations with the Spring 09 Administration
i. IP Address and communication with CoursEval staff

a. CoursEval has accepted that the problems were on their end
b. Staff will now be available for West coast users
c. Peter is communicating to his staff regarding timing of emails
2. Due to the IP addresses change, one other campus was affected. As a
result, CoursEval is going to modify their staff training.

CLU.
4. There is a lack of communication that CoursEval needs to address.
5. Do we stay with CoursEval?
a. Costs more to host the server and would be more work for IT
