Description:
Psychometric Testing to Aid Young People (Years 11/12/13 students) in their
Academic Subject and Future Career Choices
Potential Plus UK would like to offer your son/daughter the opportunity to
participate in Psychometric Testing using the Morrisby Profile.
The Morrisby Testing measures potential, not acquired skill or knowledge, through
a series of pencil and paper tests and provides a comprehensive outline of a
student’s intellectual make-up.
It has long been recognised that any one person has a number of different abilities
of differing strengths and, therefore, it is a question of applying these in the best
possible way both academically and within a career. Each student receives an
analysis of the results through a personal, comprehensive 16 page Morrisby Report
that details their abilities and work style and lists the 12 careers that match the
most closely.
If the student is considering 6th form study, with the results Angela Lowi who is a
qualified Careers Consultant and who has been conducting Psychometric Testing
and Careers Education and Guidance across Buckinghamshire for 20 years in
mostly Grammar and Independent Schools, can advise very clearly on the A level
subjects that should be considered by them and, equally, those that may not be
using their strengths in the best way.
A2 subject choices can sometimes be hard to identify at GCSE level without the
test results and/or the results can offer new ideas and broaden horizons. They can,
therefore, be helpful even if a student is clear about their long term objectives.
For students in Years 12 and 13, with the Morrisby results it is possible to be
much clearer and more focused about the degree courses and the universities to be
researching.

However, for some, they may have chosen subjects that do not necessarily
play to their strengths and consequently, may be struggling and are not
really aware of why. In these cases alternative choices can be discussed
The follow up feedback interview can either be conducted on the telephone or face
to face in the Milton Keynes offices.
You will then receive an Action Plan (14-16 pages) and degree courses from
different universities and careers information that are applicable to the interests.
The cost is £200 for members and £225 for non-members and this includes:
• ½ a day testing (lasting approx. 3 ½ hours) by Angela Lowi
• Full Morrisby Report detailing all the results
• A full feedback interview with Angela Lowi which will usually be on the telephone
although a weekend feedback interview in Milton Keynes will be an option
• A separate 10-12 page Action Plan summarising this discussion. This will include
advice on AS/A2 subject choices and relevant degree programmes
• Ongoing email advice, provided for as long as your child wishes to take advantage
of it
• Mid morning refreshments on the day of the testing.
We will be holding this at our main office in Bletchley, Milton Keynes on
Wednesday 13th July from 9.15am- 1.00pm.
The cost is £200 for members and £225 for non members.
This testing is for Year 11 students – their actual age is not as important i.e. they
may have been accelerated in the schooling. Please call us on 01908
