MEDICAL RECORDS CLERK (Part-Time)
This position is located at the Pueblo of Isleta Health Clinic, Isleta, New Mexico. Assembles, maintains, updates,
retrieves, and copies confidential medical records; releases and delivers records and medical information to
requested internal/external sources in a timely and accurate manner and according to established policies,
procedures and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
 High School Diploma or GED
 One year of office experience
 One year work experience with medical record organization and maintenance preferred
 Must be able to pass a TB screening
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements: On a separate sheet of paper, describe how you obtained the
following Knowledge’s, Skills and Abilities.
 Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements, including
patients’ rights and confidentiality (HIPAA).
 Knowledge of Resource Patient Management Systems (RPMS) and related systems
 Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Window
Environment
 Ability to retrieve and maintain the terminal digital filing system
 Ability to maintain confidentiality
Other Requirements:
Individual selected is subject to the following:
 Valid New Mexico driver’s license with the ability to meet Pueblo of Isleta liability insurance requirements
and maintain eligibility for insurance
 Satisfactorily pass a background investigation, with NO prior convictions of any felonies
 Must comply with the Pueblo of Isleta Drug Free Workplace policies
 Satisfactorily pass a drug test prior to employment
PREFERENCE: Tribal preference and Native American Indian preference applies to all Pueblo of Isleta positions.
