Duke Redshirt Freshman Zach Finesilver Named RMHC Athlete of the Week February 3, 2016 DURHAM, N.C.—Duke redshirt freshman Zach Finesilver was named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week following a pair of victories that helped the Blue Devils to a 2-0 weekend in the nation’s capital. Finesilver totaled seven points overall in the two matches. In his opening match Sunday against Columbia’s Sam Ward, Finesilver scored four points for the Blue Devils with an 8-0 major decision as Duke edged the Lions 19-16. The extra point from Finesilver was instrumental in helping the Blue Devils secure the victory. He followed that with a 5-1 decision over American’s Tyler Scotton as Duke upended host American 23-13. The win was his third straight and pushed his dual record to 6-3 on the year. Finesilver is 18-9 overall on the year and is 5-2 in his past seven outings. He ranks third on the team in dual points with 22 for the year. The Blue Devils, ranked 24th in the latest InterMat poll, are 4-5 overall and riding a three-match win streak heading into a midweek bout with Gardner-Webb.
