Summary :
This story is set long ago in a village in Corsica, an island off the coast of France. It is
about the friendship between an old donkey and a young girl.
The young girl Daveria leads a horriblelife with her nasty cousin Catalina because her
parents died.
One day, she meets an old couple and their donkey who names Duke. She makes
friend with Duke. When Catalina knows that, she visits the owner of Duke. She
borrows it from the owner then she kills it. Saveria is very sad. She lets all the people
in this village know how duke died, they are very angry. They chase Catalina out of
the village.
A few days past, the old couple adopted Saveria. They love her as if she were their
own daughter.
Saveria starts her happy life.
The part I like most and my feeling after reading :
The plot was interesting. The ending was moving too. I was touched by the story.
