[ CS-7637-O01 - Announcement ] End of Week 3 Announcements
T-Square to CS-7637-O01
10:06 AM
An announcement has been updated in the "CS-7637-O01" site at T-Square (https://t-square.gatech.edu/portal/site/gtc-aa826c51-53d8-9b3e-786ba6336da3)
Subject: End of Week 3 Announcements
Group: Site
Message:
We've reached the end of week 3! I hope y'all have had a good week -- I've been away from things more than in previous weeks,
but I'm looking forward to catching up on some of the discussions in the next couple days.
Announcements to end the week:
Grades on Assignment 1 will be posted by midnight tonight. To receive your grades, go to the Assignments page on TSquare, then click Assignment 1. You'll see your grade, as well as any comments that the grader left you.
Remember, the deadline to give Peer Feedback on Assignment 1 is Sunday at midnight. This differs from the deadline
listed in Peer Feedback, but it's consistent with the deadline listed on T-Square. Please make sure to submit your feedback
in Peer Feedback by Sunday at midnight.
After submitting your feedback on Peer Feedback, remember to submit the corresponding assignment on T-Square. Enter
any text you want for the submission text.
Remember, Assignment 2 is due Sunday at midnight as well. We're making sure to give you your grades on Assignment 1
by tonight at midnight so that you can react to your feedback for Assignment 2.
On Piazza, you might notice that if you post a Question, I'll often convert it to a Note. The Piazza 'question' function is fine
for questions with only one correct answer, but for most of the questions in our class, there is not one correct answer. If
you're asking a question that doesn't really demand an "Instructor's Answer", I encourage you to use a Note instead of a
Question to avoid the awkward Piazza functionality.
Remember, Project 1 is due a week from Sunday. If you haven't started yet, we highly recommend doing so!
Earlier this week, I posted two Piazza announcements that you should check out. One is about study groups: if you're
interested in forming a study group and interacting with it via Piazza, let us know! The second is regarding emailing other
students: if you're open to receiving emails from your classmates, especially about Peer Feedback, please add your email to
the student directory.
Finally, here are some recommended threads from this week:
Are animals considered intelligent?, from Bert Mouler
Difference between an intelligent answer and a guess, from Justin Ross
Takeaways while coding for project 1, from Ali Kousari
AI Concepts & Human Cognition, from Saurav Jha
Artificial Intelligence? Or Artificially Reproducing Psych Test Prejudices?, from Chris Carlson
Where does imagination feature in Cognitive AI?, from Vinay Srinath
And of course, the threads on the weekly recommended reading and recommended video. Note that to allow you more time
to work on your projects, we're bumping next week's recommended readings to Week 5 -- the reading schedules will be
updated soon to reflect this.
Have a great weekend, and good luck on Assignment 2 and the Peer Feedback for Assignment 1!
