This letter contains information about the following for your Online Course: Online Course Start Dates Online Log-in Information and Other Online Course Information Book Ordering Information Online Orientation Sessions Proctors Online Course Start Dates: In most cases, Online Courses are NOT self-paced. The courses begin at the start of a term and end at the end of the term. Students should be aware that they need to get into the course the first day or two of the class (to avoid being dropped from the class after the second week) and then continue to access the course two or three times a week for the entire term of the course. Students should not wait to register for these courses the first week of the class as it may take up to three days to get you set up in the appropriate course platform. You will be given Online access to your course on the first day of the start of your course. Online Log-in Information: DMACC uses WebCT as our Online Course Management Software. You can find the links for WebCT on our online web page: www.dmacc.edu/online or you can go directly to the WebCT link at https://webclass.dmacc.edu/webct/. Be sure to save this as a favorite. • Your log-in ID and Password for WebCT are identical to your log-in ID and password for the DMACC web mail system. You were previously sent information from the DMACC registrar with this log-in ID and password. Please note that WebCT and the DMACC webmail are tied together. If you change your password in the DMACC webmail system, it automatically changes in the WebCT course log-in site. If you have been a DMACC student previously, you may already know your log-in ID and password for the web mail system. • If you have forgotten your password or if you have not received your letter, you can change your own password easily. Go to www.dmacc.edu and click on the Log-in Link on the left lower side of the page, then click on the link to reset your password. Provide the needed information and you’re set to go. Please note that the Web Info System which is used for registering for classes, etc. uses different login information and should not be confused with your Online Course log-in. You can contact the DMACC Helpdesk at 515-965-7300 for assistance. Online Information The links at www.dmacc.edu/online contain answers for frequently asked questions and links to various help sites.
