Instructions for Faculty & Staff Access to Desire2Learn at SMSU
We have set up Desire2Learn to access various training materials. Follow these step-by-step
instructions to access Desire2Learn.
1.
Using a computer with access to the Internet go to the SMSU home page,
www.smsu.edu , D2L is one of icons under Quick Links, or go directly to
https://smsu.ims.mnscu.edu/
2.
The log-on is on the left side of the page. If you have never used D2L before, your
username and password is your tech id (with leading zeros). If the Username does
not work, call Glenn Horky at 6113.
3.
Your “My Southwest Minnesota State University Courses” screen appears and lists
the courses in which you are enrolled. You may have to click on the “+” symbol to
the left of “Training & Documentation” to view an expanded list of training topics.
4.
Training courses included are “Affirmative Action Training”, “Code of Conduct”
“Personal Safety Videos” and “Public Jobs Private Data” “SMSU Sexual Harassment
Prevention”. Click on the topic of choice to go to the course homepage.
5.
When you are finished, log out of D2L. The Log Off is at the top left on the title
page.
