Please consider this letter to be my application for an internship in Animation
Development at Nickelodeon’s Animation Studios. This December I will receive a
Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors in Media and Communications from Texas Tech
University. I share the commitment expressed in the Nickelodeon mission statement: “to connect with kids and connect kids with their world through entertainment.” For that reason, I would like to join the team at Nickelodeon Animation Studios.
I believe that I have the skills necessary to be part of the Nickelodeon success story. I was a summer camp counselor for American Kids Athletics which generated an increase in the children’s attitude, co-ordination, concentration, discipline and confidence, which leads to happy, healthier lives. I’ve worked with Chick-fil-A as the company mascot and have participated in several events catered to entertaining and informing children such as the grand opening of the Texas Children’s Hospital in Katy, TX.
I know no limits in what I can accomplish in each aspect of the animation production team, and I would like an opportunity to prove that at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio.
As an avid watcher of cartoons and user of computers, I have developed a skill for generating animation.
I wish to intern beginning January 2016 and will be available for the entire academic calendar year. I will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. In addition to this cover letter, I have included my request for an Internship Application.
