OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH COUNCIL MINUTES
September 8, 2014

Russ Leyk called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm.
Pastor Dennis opened the meeting with devotions.
Council went into closed session at 6:15 pm.
Council came out of closed session at 7:15 pm.
Debbie made a motion to recommend the call of Reverend Dr Dennis R Creswell through July 31, 2016
to the members of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Carol seconded the motion and the motion passed.
The recommendation to the congregation to call Pastor Dennis will take place Sunday, September 21,
2014 and will be presented to the congregation by Carol, as Russ will be out of town.
The Secretary’s August 2014 minutes were reviewed. Jeff moved to accept the Secretary’s Report. Ruth
seconded the motion and the motion passed.
The Financial Stewardship meeting minutes were reviewed along with the Treasurer’s Report. Mike
moved to accept the Financial Stewardship Report and Treasurer’s Report. Carol seconded the motion
and the motion passed.
There were no standing team reports
Old Business: No old business was discussed
New Business: The council received a note from a concerned member that the security cameras are no
longer operational. This is being forwarded to the Property & Maintenance Committee.
Discussion was held about the sound/video system project. It was decided to start from square one to
get this project moving forward once more.
The council would like to commend the Property & Maintenance Committee for the “Let the Light
Shine” Project.
Motion was made by Jeff and seconded by Jackie to adjourn. The motion passed.
The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
