Cabinet Member for Enterprise and Partnerships, Cllr Chris Hancock, said: 'The new technology will provide an important strategic link between existing charging points on the M4, M5 and M40, encouraging more drivers to stop off in the Cotswolds. We are always looking for innovative ways to harness technology and reduce our carbon footprint. The installation of EV chargers in Cirencester and Moreton will be seen as a very positive step forward.' Contact: Mark Bonnor-Moris Complete EV packages with 3 years maintenance Two rapid charging networks consisting of up to forty Siemens QC45 multi-standard rapid chargers will be installed in South Tyneside and Dorset early in 2015. The contracts include connection to the Charge Your Car Back Office and also include three years maintenance support provided by Siemens. 20 Chargers are destined for South Tyneside, with 19 being installed in Poole and throughout Dorset, where Siemens will be responsible for project management, installation and commissioning. The Poole and Dorset project will be the first rapid charging network installed and operated with fully integrated EV parking bay sensors, based on our SLD4 detection solution. This enables the communication of EV charging bay availability and also informs parking enforcement teams of parking violations.
