Keystone Health Information Exchange: KeyHIE Notifications What healthcare providers need to know A KeyHIE notification is electronically transmitted to your Keystone Health Information Exchange (KeyHIE) portal. It alerts you when a patient under your care * is seen at a KeyHIEparticipating emergency room or is admitted to or discharged from a KeyHIE-participating hospital. KeyHIE notifications allow you to easily track your patients’ care without individually searching for information during each login. Types of notifications As a KeyHIE-participating healthcare professional, you can choose to receive different types of notifications including: ER admission, Inpatient admission, Inpatient discharge and ER discharge. Additional options are available if you wish to receive a combination of notification types.
