An Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Minor is available to graduate accounting students
(Professional and Tax) admitted to the School of Accountancy (SOA).
To complete the minor, a student must meet the following requirements:
1. Be admitted to the MAcc program Fall 2012.
2. Make the changes below to your Grad Plan and submit for approval. Submit this Accounting
Information Systems Minor Declaration Form to 560 TNRB. When approved, the AIS Minor will
be added to your Grad Plan.
3. Complete the following classes as outlined below:*
ACC 555
ACC 556
MBA 614
Data Communications & Security
Database Analysis and Design
Spreadsheet Automation/Modeling
Winter
Winter
Fall and Winter
* Other 400+ level technology course may be substituted on a case-by-case basis to meet specific career plan
objectives.
Note: A MAcc Professional Stem student who elects to take ACC 557 Management Consulting and Projects
Fall Semester, in addition to the three classes listed above, will not be required to take one of the following two
classes: ACC 522 (Advanced Tax) or MBA 621-629 (Finance Elective). However, this exception does not
apply if the student does not complete the minor, even if the student has already completed ACC 557.
