Biography Lisa Rogerson, originally from Ontario, moved to Edmonton in 2001 to complete her doctoral degree in Sport Psychology at the University of Alberta. Lisa lectures at the University of Alberta and Grant Macewan University in the area of Sport Psychology. Lisa also runs a private practice in mental training to help athletes and coaches improve performance. Lisa works closely with the Canadian Sport Institute to ensure best practices and leading edge techniques are applied. As an athlete, Lisa participated in a variety of high school sports and competed in Varsity Athletics at the University of Manitoba. During this time she worked as a consultant and manager at the Canadian Sport Institute in Winnipeg. Here she was fortunate enough to work with Olympic athletes/coaches and developed a strong interest in building Sport Psychology programs for Canada’s best athletes. Lisa has 17 years of consulting experience with both individual and team sports in a wide range of disciplines. Some of her experiences include Provincial/Club level – soccer, synchronized swim, swimming, softball, ice hockey, volleyball, alpine skiing, figure skating; National level – curling, , golf, gymnastics, figure skating, alpine skiing, cycling; Olympic level – figure skating, ice hockey, ski cross, athletics, SO alpine, Para athletics, Sit volleyball; Professional level – ice hockey, golf. Lisa was also a member of the 2007 Canada Winter Games and Western Canada Games as a Team Alberta mental trainer.
