Job Description
Job Title: Night Auditor Classification: Full-­‐Time Year Round Department: Front Office Reports To: Guest Services Manager & Director of Lodging Last Updated: February 10, 2016 ________________________________________________________________________ Principal Purpose of Job: Settle the financials for the Ranch on a nightly basis, rectify balancing issues and assist Guest Services with satisfying guest needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Verify and balance entries and records of financial transactions of all departments. Complete the night audit checklist. Answer and transfer phone calls, follow department and Ranch policies and procedures, assist housekeeping, accounting and billing, answer guest questions, maintain guest information, daily reports and night audits, make reservations, check guests in and out, be knowledgeable about other departments, be aware of guests and Ranch issues. Duties are not limited to the list above. Other Duties: Assist the General Manager, Senior Director of Guest Services and Front Office Manager. Complete special projects as requested by either. This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for the Night Auditor position and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations. With the evolution of Devil’s Thumb Ranch the responsibilities of this position may change. Therefore, the Night Auditor must be prepared to accept new responsibilities and transfer others. Personal Attributes: Should be outgoing and friendly, enjoy working with the public and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Work well alone or with other team members. Professional dress and carry a good attitude. Be flexible to the needs of the department and the Ranch. Physical Demands: Have ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and able to lift/carry 20-­‐30 lbs. Education/Experience: 3-­‐5 years of Night Audit experience required. Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably in the English language. Special Skills/Equipment: Exceptional computer skills necessary. Proof or edit documents for spelling, grammar and content. Have the ability to learn lodging reservation system.
