Dear AIU London Students,
A very warm welcome from the
Cultural Activities Department here at AIU
London! This is the calendar of events for
the upcoming term. Inside you will see
plenty of exciting activities for you to
enjoy, including visits to the theatre,
sporting events, walking tours, day trips
and even weekend trips around Britain.
Each term we work hard to
prepare a series of events designed to
give you an understanding of British and
European culture by visiting many
wonderful places and attending special
events around the city. This is a unique
opportunity to be a part of one of the
greatest and most culturally diverse cities
in the world.
A sign-up sheet is attached with
this information. You can also find this on
the student portal and also enclosed with
the new student orientation packet. The
forms are also available from the SAP
office on the 3rd floor of the main building
110 Marylebone High Street.

Rules and Regulations
Tickets may be paid for by cash,
cheques drawn from a British bank,
sterling Travellers Cheques or credit
cards except Discover. All tickets
must be paid for immediately as
space cannot and will not be held
without payment.
Sign up forms submitted after 5PM on
Friday September 28th will not be
accepted. After this date and time the
University has a “NO REFUND”
policy on tickets purchased.
The University is unable to refund
money if a student is late for an event
or misses the event for any reason.
Please ensure that you know at what
time events are taking place and
their location.
In the event a student cannot attend
an event, the Cultural Activities Team
will attempt to help the student to sell
their ticket to another interested
student. This is usually done by the
sending of an email to all students
notifying them of the tickets that have
become available for sale and giving
the contact details of the person
selling.
Events which take place outside of
London will usually sell out before
the end of the sign up period. Due to
restrictions placed on the University
by its travel agents, it is not always
possible to obtain additional spaces.
Therefore, students who are
interested in excursions such as the
day trips to Stonehenge & Bath,
Canterbury & Dover as well as the
Weekend Trip to Wales, should
apply as soon as possible, following
their arrival in London.
The University reserves the right to
refuse entry to a University
sponsored activity to any person
whose behavior is inappropriate.
This includes the drinking of alcohol
on buses hired by the University.
This infringes British traffic laws and
the bus driver reserves the right to
ask for the removal of anyone from
the vehicle who does not comply
with this requirement.
Event dates and prices quoted with
this booklet are given to help
students plan their time and budget
their finances but the price remains
subject to change. Every effort has
been made to quote accurate prices;
however arrangements for a number
of proposed activities are currently
being finalized. In these instances,
prices have been quoted as
approximate and are subject to
change.
Important information to
know and remember:
