MyMathLab Orientation
Go to www.coursecompass.com and choose STUDENTS and REGISTER.
You will need a CourseID, a Student Access Code, and an email address. You may need
the zip code for Kirkwood in the process (52406).
The CourseID (ex: keller52095) allows students to register for your class. You must get
the CourseID from your instructor.
After you enter the CourseID, the name of the course will appear. You must now enter
your access code. This is provided in the red “MyMathLab Student Access Kit” that came
bundled with the textbook.
Continue through the process by creating your login name and password. At some point
you may be asked for Kirkwood’s zip code. Use 52406.

Access all homework for the course up to the due date. By
clicking “Show All” you can also see the quizzes for the
course.
Check your grade and review homework and quizzes after
the due date.

The homework interface looks very similar for each question.

assignment. It is very similar to question 39 in section 1.6 in the textbook.

The interface for quizzes is very similar. The significant differences are:
1. No help buttons available on the quiz.
2. Must answer each question before you see your score. Only when you are finished
with the quiz and click “Submit” do you see your score and have a chance to review
the quiz.
3. Quizzes can be timed and the number of opportunities to take the quiz can be
limited. Check with your instructor for the specifics for your course.
