Position Summary: The Business Development Intern will assist the Sales team through a variety of tasks providing well-rounded exposure to all facets of selling at a CPG company. This role will offer support gathering and analyzing data, assisting with demand planning, providing resources used in selling presentations and measuring results. By the end of the internship you will learn how to: Analyze syndicated data and generate insights with regard to business questions Present findings in written, verbal and electronic formats utilizing Excel and PowerPoint Develop better teamwork and interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities: Assist with sample mailings, mass communications, and sourcing competitive products as well as verifying retail conditions Spreadsheet analysis of syndicated data and taking customer specific information and putting it into a usable format Sales premium and sample inventory management Compiling information from multiple sources and placing them into a usable master document Logistical support for the National Sales Meeting Qualifications: Rising undergraduate Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree Microsoft Excel proficient Microsoft PowerPoint a plus Strong analytical skills Ability to learn new and disparate systems Financial acumen a plus Note: This is not a Marketing role.
