Слайд 4 Introduction Once upon a time there were no computers, no video games, CD-ROM players, modern TV, fast phone connections, etc. A lot of things were not possible. ( it may be that computers can have conversations , but you see it is much different from meeting people personally) write books? (only the man can write them with their help) do crosswords? think? feel? replace people? As we see, computers cannot do anything without special programmes and people. So, they can’t replace people. What are the pros and cons of computers? 1. Computers can do a lot of work. They help us at school. They keep useful information. They can even teach us English. 2. On the other hand, they have some cons. Computers often catch viruses. You shouldn’t spend too much time at your PC. It’s bad for your eyesight. Chatting on the Internet with your friend is not the same as a face-to-face talk. Some computer games make people aggressive. Some people hook on computer games , they seem to be interested only in computers.
