Emphasis will be placed on developing World Wide Web marketing skills, examining business resources on the Internet and creating an Internet focused marketing plan outline. Students will learn how to use the Internet for customer contact, customer service, order taking, and marketing research. (CSU) (Degree Credit) Course Materials: Textbook: Internet Marketing: Building Advantage in a Networked Economy, 2nd Edition by Mohammed, Fisher, Jaworski and Paddison. Additional material required for this class include a 3.5 floppy disk, two 882 Scantrons, an e-mail address and Internet access. (This textbook will be used in the MKT 152: Internet Advertising and Promotion class that will begin 3/19 and end 5/25). Individual Assignments: Homework includes textbook reading and Internet Marketing research i.e. you will have to visit various web sites or do web searches. These assignments will require you to use your computer and Internet access to complete. Examinations: There will be two exams; a midterm and a final exam. The instructor will provide the students with a study guide for the exams. Students are not allowed to make up an exam unless you get permission from the instructor ahead of time. A single one-sided sheet of paper (8.5 by 11) with notes is allowed for the tests. Exams will be taken on-campus at the Skills Center located on the 1st floor in the Learning Library Resource Center. Failure to take the final exam results in an F grade for the class. Late Assignments: No late assignments will be accepted under any circumstances, you can always turn in your assignments ahead of time. Please inform me within the first two weeks of class of your special needs. Academic Honesty: Any student found using the work of others, claiming the work of others as his/her own, or other unprofessional behavior will receive a failing grade in the class.
