ELIGIBLE NATIONALITIES: Tanzanians ROLE OVERVIEW: Under general supervision, responsible for day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: staffing, compensation and benefits, training, employee relations, compliance, international and other administrative functions. Provides support to line management regarding the interpretation and application of policies and procedures. Assists in coaching and counseling management regarding resolution of sensitive employee-related matters. Job tasks correctly performed impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Expatriate administration, orientation, mobilization activities, and special projects. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Provides support to line management regarding the interpretation and application of policies and procedures. Assists in coaching and counseling management regarding resolution of sensitive employee-related matters. Provides support to line management regarding compensation administration and issues. Provides training to managers and employees based on local needs. Assists employees in resolving general human resource, payroll and benefit issues. Assists in resource planning and recruiting efforts. Assists in international mobilization activities, as needed. Oversees the maintenance of employee records in SAP or other local Human Resources Information System (HRIS) database. Expatriate administration, orientations, mobilization activities and special projects. Coordinates projects, as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Education, Licensure, and Experience: Completion of an undergraduate degree in human resources management, business administration, business management, industrial relations, organizational behavior, or similar disciplines. Membership with the Human Resources Society of Tanzania (HRSTA) is desirable. Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources which includes experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, staffing, international HR, HR development and/or employee relations Ability to use Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
