Potential webinar topics:
Leadership development concept orientation and introduction
Committee spotlight and update
Working with volunteers
More on personal mastery
Existing IIE tactical topic webinars, e.g. IIE resources for committee leaders, the
IIE Home Page, Using social networking for IIE, others
Delivery Assumptions:
Year 1: carve out a ½ day at the conference (pre or post – Right now Sunday
AM looks like it has the most potential); supplement with up-to four webinars
(record them for later use!) – potentially use existing IIE content that
compliments the face-to-face session
Year 2:
For graduates, add additional webinars; possibly a short face-to-face at
the 2011 conference and recognize graduates
For new class; ½ day at the conference; increase number and topics
covered through webinars based on learnings from year 1
Costs considered:
Travel to the conference for participants whose companies do not reimburse
– not feasible
Meeting space – can be done during the conference
Content development/purchase – JAL, HB and other committee members
Content delivery - JAL, HB and other committee members
Materials – IIE/SHS to provide, e.g. binders and handouts
Certificates – JAL/HB
One night in hotel for participants plus meals – except for breakfast and
refreshments during the workshop, not feasible
Next steps:
Share concepts at July 15th Board meeting…are we on/off course with
this? If concept okayed we’ll work with Heather and others to develop a
realistic budget - complete
Share topics with Diplomates for input - complete
