OOD COLLECTION FOR FAMILIES IN NEED of nonperishable items and toiletries for local people in crisis
this weekend 19th/20th July. There is a list of items needed
on the notice board. Mother and baby toiletries are
especially needed. Please leave items in the porch.

POSTLESHIP OF THE SEA Many thanks for last
week’s retiring collection. Between the Cathedral and
the Lady Chapel we raised £465.94.

ORLD WAR I COMMEMORATION In early August it
is the Centenary of the entry of the British Empire into
WWI and the Bishop’s Conference of England & Wales have
asked each diocese to mark the event with a

ILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF
MOUNT GRACE to celebrate the Assumption of Our
Lady on Sunday 17th August at 3pm. All are welcome.
However the Holy Day of Obligation still stands on
Friday 15th August. Mass will be at 9.15 am and 7 pm on
this day.

CHURCH
commemorative Mass in our Cathedrals. This will be on
Sunday 3rd August at St. Mary’s Cathedral at our 10 am
Mass. Bishop Terence will preside and we hope as many
people will come to this Mass.

SACRAMENT (for Vocations )

INGING SUE’S children’s charity concert here in the
Cathedral on Tues 22nd July at 6.30 pm – proceeds to
‘Abbie’s Love’ charity. Tickets are £5 and some are available
in our repository.
OLIDAYS We wish you all a good summer break
particularly to our schools at St. Augustine’s and St.
Gerard’s. Enjoy your summer holiday.

anniversary as a priest on the 20th July. This Sunday
