Parish family evening where we had children’s games,
burgers/hot dogs, refreshments and a family quiz, finishing
with a firework display. We are doing this again on Friday
7th November at 6pm. Tickets (individual and family tickets)
will be on sale this weekend after all our Masses. Please
come and support us.

OSARIES TO ABORIGINALS IN AUSTRALIA and to
missions in the 3rd World Countries in Africa. We have
been asked to help and support by asking parishioners to
hunt for rosaries in their homes and among family and
friends. Please hand spare rosaries to one of the priests.
PPEALS FOR MUGS The Upper Room at the John Paul
Centre is run by volunteers providing lunch for the
homeless each Saturday. If you have any old mugs you no
longer use and wish to donate, a box will be available in the
Cathedral porch next weekend.
N

RE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CATHOLIC?
If you are, or are just interested in learning more about
ORLD MISSION SUNDAY 19TH OCTOBER. This is
celebrated in every country where the Catholic Church
is present. This year it focuses on those struggling against
oppression and lack of human rights. Pope Francis asked
us to be missionaries of God’s love. Please be generous in
your giving in the retiring collection after all our Masses.
EMINDER - WICKED IN APRIL 2015 Money must be
paid by Wednesday this week- £60 each- as I need to
pay Sunderland Empire at the end of the week. If you are
now unable to go, please let me know.
