Wellie Walk We will be holding our annual ‘Sponsored Wellie Walk’ on Friday 16th October. The letter with more details accompanies this newsletter. Diary Dates You will have received last week a card with diary dates for the year. This should help as a forward planner for events and activities over the course of the next academic year. There is one mistake – we end term 1 on Friday 23rd October, rather than Friday 26th! Home/School Agreement You will also have received a letter about the home school agreement. This is a legal contract between you and the school and needs to be updated from time to time. Please sign this, and the clubs agreement and return them to school next week. Clubs We are sending home the afterschool club letters today. We are sorry if your child has not been offered a place this term. The clubs will change from term to term to give all children a fair opportunity to attend a club of their choice during the year. Clubs start next week. Morning Arrangements We are now encouraging children to come into school as soon as they arrive in the mornings, meaning that from 8.45 they can come straight into class. The TAs will be in class to receive the children, and the class teachers will be on the playground so that you can still see them to have a word if you need to. This will help us ensure that you have the time you need to discuss any issues and we will still be ready to start learning at 9am! However, it appears that a few children are being dropped off and left unsupervised before 8.45 and also, there have been many arriving after 9.00. If you are late, please come to the office and sign them in. Thank you. School Harvest Festival Monday 28th September at 9.15am in Holy Cross Church.
