Works Cited CHECKLIST
Arrange entries in ALPHABETICAL order. Do not alphabetize by The, A or An.
Go to next word.
HEADING should be centered one inch from the top,
W and the C capitalized. Works Cited (don’t forget the s on Works!)
Do not underline, bold, use word art or place in all caps or quotation marks.
Citations begin directly after one space is skipped.
Heading should be same size as entries – Typically Times New Roman 12 pt.
NEVER number or use bullets for the works cited entries.
Double-space ENTIRE LIST.
Indent (and double space) SECOND line of text and all ADDITIONAL lines in the
same entry.
Watch all punctuation! Look at the examples or ask if you are not sure.
Your Works Cited should look like this:
