(telephone game) Have students assemble themselves in a circle then the teacher joins the circle and says a statement to the student to the right and that student repeats what they heard to the next student. The students are not allowed to repeat what they said. Goals of this game: Discuss how important it is to speak clearly, how quickly a statement changes when traveling through numerous people. Etc. Play the name game with the class. Assemble desks into a circle including the teacher. The teacher begins by saying, “We are going on a trip, My name is _________________ and I am taking a __________________(item should begin with the same letter as the first name. The next person would say, “We are going on a trip, Sandy is taking a Suitcase, My name is ____________ and I am taking a __________________ This would continue until the last person in the circle would have to repeat every student’s name and their item for the trip.
