Name: _________________________________________________ Date: ________________________ “It’s All Greek To Me!” Talk Show Activity As befitting your status as an ancient Greek god/goddess or hero, you have been invited to participate in the “Zeus: Leader or Loser?” episode of the “It’s all Greek to Me!” daily talk show. Our panel will consist of the celebrated children of Cronos and Rhea. All other guests will participate from the audience. In preparation for the show, please be ready to cover the following topics: -Who are you? Why should the people care what YOU have to say? - Where might we recognize you from? (A myth or two, perhaps?) - What is your opinion on the way the Olympians behave? (Some evidence to support your opinion would be great.) - What can the lowly mortals learn from you? Also be prepared to introduce yourself and give us some background information. You may be asked questions or be asked to comment on a topic brought up by another guest, so BE PREPARED! You may want to take a look at some of the things the mortals have written about you on the following websites (all of which can also be found on Miss Berman’s website): http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/greeks/religion/greekrelig.htm Terrific selection of myths listed. Which ones are you in? http://www.mythweb.com/gods/index.html Basic information about the gods http://www.godchecker.com/pantheon/greek-mythology.php Lots of information about all the gods. http://greece.mrdonn.org/myths.html Family trees, myths and more.
