Software technical specifications for acquisition, archive, display and processing
HRIT data from EUMETCast
The software should be provide acquisition, archive, display and process digital HRIT data from EUMETCast
and should be fully compliant with the EUMETSAT document entitled
EUM TD 15 – EUMETCast Technical Description.
The software should provide the following functions using easy to use graphical interface:

Access to the full range of MSG data and products:
12 SEVIRI spectral channels from METEOSAT:

3 visible channels : VIS06, VIS08, HRV
(High Resolution Visible) (up to 1km resolution);
 7 infrared channels: IR 1.6, IR 3.9, IR 8.7,
IR 10.8, IR 12.0, IR 9.7, IR 13.4;
 2 water vapor channels: WV 6.2, WV 7.3.
The system should be consist of the two separate computers
(as EUMETSAT recommends):

the first computer is used as the EUMETCast
receiving station and ftp or file server only;
 the second computer is used for unpacking
of compressed files, installation and operation
of the application software
Completely automatic ingest and output of all HRIT
data available from EUMETCast, with no user intervention
required after configuration.
Automatic file acquisition from DVB software for
EUMETCast.
Rolling archiving of acquired raw files covering up to 7
days.
Rolling archiving of decrypted files covering up to 7 days.
Automatic decompression of compressed files.
Possibility of the rolling archiving of decompressed files
covering up to 366 days, structured in folders by data type,
date and time.
Quick-view of the latest images received.
Convenient and fast handling of full-size satellite images.
Channels calibration with EUMETSAT calibration data.
Vis channels are calibrated in reflectance and IR/WV
channels in temperature.

Integrated map editor featuring:
